How to Install Agency Power Adjustable Blow-Off Valve Kit on Polaris RZR XP Turbo
This guide is to assist with the installation of the Agency Power Adjustable Blow-Off Valve kit on the Polaris RZR XP Turbo 16-18
Step 1. Remove the stock diverter valve by cutting and removing the two pinch clamps retaining the diverter valve to the charge pipe and intake return hose. Remove the vacuum hose attached to the diverter valve and remove from the RZR
*NOTE* The pinch style clamps are made from stainless steel and can take some force to cut fee.
Step 2. Next remove the intake return hose from the intake pipe by removing the clamp. Remove the intake return hose from the RZR
Step 3. Use the supplied rubber cap and worm drive clamp to plug the port on the intake pipe.
Step 4. Using the supplied clamps go ahead and install the adjustable blow-off valve to the charge pipe. Ensure the blow-off valve is fully seated into the charge pipe before tightening the clamp.
Step 5. Extend the vacuum hose from the “T” connection to the blow-off valve by replacing it with the supplied extended vacuum hose. If needed trim the new supplied hose to desired length. re-use the oem mesh wire shielding.
Adjusting the Blow-Off Valve
The Agency Power Adjustable Blow-Off Valve does not come preset and will need to be adjusted to suit the vehicle.
To adjust the valve turn the cap either clockwise or counterclockwise. Turning the cap on the valve counterclockwise will decrease the pressure on the piston, while turning the cap clockwise will increase the pressure on the piston.
- Start with the cap on the valve set to its maximum softest setting. Do not rotate past the O-Ring. The O-Ring should be completely covered by the cap.
- Start the vehicle and let it idle. The port should be closed off by the piston and not floating or moving.
- Rev the engine in park and let off quickly, the engine should return to normal idle speed and the valve should be closed. If the valve is open tighten the cap clockwise one turn and test again.
- Test drive the vehicle. The BOV should remain closed under throttle/boost and open momentarily when releasing the throttle.

Does this BOV come with a filter to put around it to keep out dust and dirt?
No the BOV does not come with a filter. If you want to add a filter we recommend Outerwear filters
Is it normal for the bov to constantly leak off while about 1/4 throttle just normal driving
Hi Robert,
Thank you for the inquiry. You may need to adjust your BOV. The valve should be sealed under normal driving. Please refer to the “Adjusting the Blow-Off Valve” section of the above article. Shoot us an email or give us a call if we can assist you with anything else. sales@agency-power.com or 480-921-7422
the question is does it need a filter and i just got mine and it has nothing to plug the hose off, there is a clamp but thats all
It should have the rubber cap included. If it is not in the kit please email our sales team at sales@agency-power.com. They will be able to assist in getting that part out to you.
Should the horn looking piece be lose and easy to swivel?
Hey Jonathan, email sales@agency-power.com pictures of the issue you are describing and we will get back to you shortly. The flange you are referring too should not spin freely.
Just got mine the other day. Looks awesome the flange spins freely tho?? Is that normal I followed install and have no pressure coming out of it at all!
The flange should not move freely, it is threaded on so make sure the o-ring is installed and then tighten it down real good. If it continues to spin free, I would recommend using loctite or some sort of thread locker. If the blow off valve is not releasing pressure just simply remove it and push the piston up and down a few times and reinstall. If it is still having issues please email sales@agency-power.com and we will take a look to see if it is a warranty issue or not.
Should my blow off valve leak air at idle and how do I know when I got it adjusted properly
The BOV should be closed at idle. From full soft (not past the O-ring), turn the cap until the valve is closed. Give our guys a call or email if we can help with setting the adjustment.
What are you supposed to support the weight of the valve with. There is no mount bracket or hardware, so the the valve just dangles from the 3/8″ vacuum line? Best I could come up with was tzip tie to adjacent 1″ line.
Hi Richard,
The BOV seats into the charge pipe, which will support the valve once installed. We have not seen the any addition support needed that the charge pipe doesn’t already provide.
Charge pipe is too flimsy to support the weight of heavier valve. If not zip tied, it would rest on electrical box and bounce on and off while riding. (2020 rzr xp4)
BOV doesn’t do anything . Wanted it for the sound( don’t we all) and no sound. I can feel the piston opening when it vents but it makes zero sound. Also can’t get anyone to reply on the online chat to try and fix the issue. Going to reinstall the factory diverted. Feel like I just threw away $100.
Hi Jeremy,
I’m sorry to hear about the trouble. Please give our team a call. We can walk you though setting up the BOV to ensure it is working properly. We can also diagnose it to tell if there may be something wrong with the valve or the installation. Thanks! (480)921-7422
I’m trying to find the outer wear pre filter. Is there a specific one or do I need to design one? Thanks for the help love the product.
Hello, we don’t have a pre-filter for the BOV itself, but we do have all of our pre-filters listed here – https://www.agencypower.com/air-intake-accessories-c-4483.html
