Reliable Power Depends on Heat Management
Heat management is key in any performance vehicle. Failure to excavate heat from the system can lead to reduced power output, laggy throttle response, premature wear, or even component failure. Managing heat is specifically critical in rear engine applications with forced induction, like the Porsche 991 Turbo.

Heat soak causes the expansion of air molecules, creating a less dense, less oxygen-rich air at the same pressure. Heat soak due to inadequate intercooler size becomes an concern as the 991 Turbo is pushed. Climbing intake temperatures can lead to more frequent detonation and ignition timing retarded to reduce knock. To combat the rising temperatures, an efficient intercooler is key.
Fundamentally, a turbo needs to fill the intercooler with pressurized air before the boost can enter the engine. A large intercooler will take longer to fill than a small intercooler. An intercooler too big for a turbo will result in turbo lag. A properly sized, high flow intercooler balances thermal efficiency and airflow restriction within the core. This yields no noticeable lag and a better dispersion of dissipating heat, letting the 991 Turbo
Agency Power incorporates a massive bar and plate intercooler core paired with CNC billet aluminum end tanks, allowing for OEM-like fitment while also being rated to 1200 horsepower due to significantly improved cooling and flow. The 1 piece end tanks are 3D machined with integrated fittings to provide the ultimate flow and capacity while still allowing compatibility with factory boost hoses or one of the many aftermarket options.
