This guide is intended to assist with the installation of the Agency Power Catback Exhaust System Polished Quad Tips for both the 2005-2017 Subaru WRX & STI.
Step 1: Start by securely lifting the vehicle. Refer to your vehicles operation manual for proper lift points and techniques. NEVER work under a vehicle without securing it with jack stands!
Step 2: Loosen and remove the hardware attaching the y-pipe sections to both driver and passenger side rear muffler.
Step 3: Once the hardware is removed, you will need to slide/pry the muffler exhaust hangers off the rubber mounts. Once free from the exhaust hangers the mufflers can now be removed from the vehicle.
Step 4: Next loosen & remove the spring bolts and pry/slide the hanger from the rubber mount. Lower and remove the OEM Y-pipe assembly.
Step 5: Starting from the Mid-pipe back install the Agency Power Resonated section by re-using the factory spring bolts. DO NOT TIGHTEN the hardware yet. You will need to leave the entire system loose until all the pipes have been installed. This will allow you to adjust of the system.
Step 6: Next install the Agency Power Y-Pipe Section. Insert the hanger into the rubber mount and use supplied hardware and gasket.
PRO TIP: Apply Silicone Lubricant to rubber mounts to make it easier to attach exhaust hangers.
Step 7: Install the rear Agency Power Mufflers and attach to the rubber hangers. Use the supplied hardware and gaskets. DO NOT TIGHTEN YET.
Step 8: Now that the entire Agency Power Catback Exhaust is in place and hanging loosely. Align the exhaust and begin to tighten the exhaust from the mid-pipe back. If you have a friend that can help you, have them hold and align the exhaust as you tighten.
Step 9: Once everything is tighten and the system is aligned properly. start the vehicle and inspect for any exhaust leaks. If you find a leak, make sure exhaust gaskets are present and re-tighten.

Hey so quick question i got the 2011 wrx hatchback cat back with no muffler. Was wondering if you guys sold a mufflered version so i can swap out the axle back section with ease? Or can i bolt the invidia rear section to your midpipe?
Unfortunately, our exhaust system with a muffler for your vehicle has a completely different layout. The Invidia exhaust is also much different being that it has two sections from the axle-back, and the Agency Power system is one piece. I would suggest having a muffler added at a reputable exhaust shop as it will be less expensive than buying a new exhaust all together and will deliver the same results. Hope this helped! 🙂
I just picked up a agency power cat-back for my 2017 WRX, and in your installation guide there is no mention of gaskets. I’ve also noticed the y-pipe to mufflers taper down to a smaller diameter. Can I assume mid-pipe to y-pipe uses a 3in gasket and y-pupe to mufflers uses a 2.5in gasket?
The Y-Pipe gasket should be a 3″ doughnut style gasket and the muffler will be 2.5″ two-bolt flange gaskets. I would recommend double checking these diameters before buying gaskets to make sure you get the proper one the first time.
