FT86 Bash 2: Agency Power LCA Winner
A few weeks back, Jeff Sides along with Earnhardt Toyota, put on the second annual AZ86 Bash. Cars and companies from all over the West Coast came into town for the weekend to participate in the event. The event kicked of early in the morning and ran flawlessly throughout the afternoon with almost twice as many cars from the previous year. Agency Power in conjunction with Vivid Racing donated a set of rear adjustable Lower Control Arms (LCA) to be raffled off along with “FREE” installation. We scheduled a time that would work best for the winning recipient and snapped a few pictures along the install process.

Many people do not really understand why LCA’s are such a great addition to a vehicle. Adjustable Lower Control Arms allow you to raise the rear ride height by up to about 2 inches, or lower it as much as 1 inch. Drag racers can use these arms to easily fit larger tires, and improve traction by fine-tuning the instant center location and anti-squat geometry by changing the ride height. Road racers and auto-crossers can set not only the ride height, but also corner weights, for optimum handling. For example an FRS with 200 pounds of stereo gear in the trunk can have the rear ride height adjusted back up to normal. If the car is used for drifting you can use the LCA to achieve more rear negative camber for many cars.
Winner of the AZ86 Bash raffle brought in his Jackson Racing supercharged FRS to get the Agency Power Adjustable Lower Control Arms installed. Check out the custom hydro-dipping!
The client was already running aftermarket SPC camber bolts that only allow a short range of movement, changing to the Agency Power LCA’s, the rear adjustment is far greater.
Removal and installation is a very simple process, remove the 4 bolts holding the factory LCA in place and reverse the process replacing with the new Agency Power LCA. However whenever working with suspension components it is always recommended to get the vehicle realigned upon completion, as it is highly unlikely that the vehicle’s suspension geometry will be within specifications. Failure to do so may result in irregular tire wear or premature parts failure.
