Dodge Viper Air Intake Install
Here at Agency Power we believe in giving our customers the highest level of customer support. To make your life easier we went ahead and provided a detailed write-up for the removal and install of the Agency Power Intake System for the Dodge Viper. Without further adieu…
Removal:
1. Disconnect negative terminal on battery (-).
2. Locate stock air box. **Note it is recommend to do this process with engine cold to prevent getting burnt on hot engine surfaces.
3. Disconnect Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors from both sides of the factory air box, left side and right side.
4. Loosen up both 8mm hose clamp nuts.
5. Remove both finger screws at the front of the stock air box
6. Remove all other vacuum like running to stock airbox.
7. Remove stock airbox from engine compartment by freeing the rubber intake tubing away from the throttle bodies.
8. With all the factory components removed the engine compartment should look like this and now you are ready to install your new Agency Power Air Intake System.
Install:
1. Start by removing both Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors from the factory air box by removing the two 8mm hex both that hold the sensor in place.
2. Place the MAF sensors into the new Agency Power intake tubing with the sensor plug facing toward the rear of the vehicle. Then secure with the provided hardware.
3. Repeat this process for both sides of your new Agency Power intake tubing.
4. Secure both of the new Agency Power dry cone filters to each side to the intake tubing with an 8mm driver.
5. Next install the new Agency Power intake box into the factory mounting points and re-install both finger screws at the front of the new airbox.
6. With the air box installed, now secure the new Agency Power silicone couplers to both sides of the in take tubing with the provided hose clamps using a 10mm driver.
7. Begin connecting the silicone couplers to the vehicles throttle bodies and secure with the provided hose clamps using nut driver. *Remember to put hose clamps on silicone tubing before connecting to throttle bodies.
8. Reconnect vacuum line to provided port.
9. Reconnect both MAF sensors pigtails (left and right), you should hear them snap into place. Its never a bad idea to get them a slight tug to ensure they are secured properly.
10. Reconnect negative battery terminal (-).
11. The finished product.
