The Mercedes 45 AMG 2.0L turbocharged engine proves itself making over 400 horsepower with simple mods like an exhaust system and ECU tune. With added boost pressure, you will notice your AMG 45 have an increase in compressor surge. Compressor surge is caused from the buildup of boost pressure in the charge pipes that has nowhere to be released between gear shifts. The factory valve is integrated into the turbocharger to release the pressure back into the intake side. This causes the turbo impeller to slow down impeding it from spooling up quickly. Overtime this can affect the longevity of your turbo. An aftermarket valve, commonly known as a blow off valve, is a great solution to release the pressure and keep the turbo spooled up between shifts. In addition to providing a more efficient turbocharger, a blow off valve will also improve your AMG 45 throttle response.

The 6061 aluminum body has been CNC machined for a precision fit on to the turbocharger compressor housing like stock. The machined sides of the body allow boost to be vented 360 degrees from the valve. It features a brass piston with proper O-rings to give an air tight seal when closed. The 2-piece body allows for easy disassembly to clean the piston as needed. The adjustable knob, features a knurled locking nut to prevent the adjuster from moving.
