- Remove the radiator cap by turning counter clockwise. (*NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS UNLESS THE VEHICLE IS COLD, HOT COOLANT MAY RESULT IN BURNS)
- Start by lifting the vehicle by either a shop lift or jack up the car by the specified jacking points.
- Then begin removing the front plastic splash guard, it is secured by a few 10mm bolts and plastic fasteners.
- Once the plastic is removed you will see the yellow radiator drain valve on located on the passenger side of the vehicle.
- Place you drain pan or bucket underneath the valve and turn counterclockwise.
- While the coolant is draining, this is good idea to grab your sandwich and enjoy. The drain process will take about ~10min.
- Once the steady stream of coolant has slowed to a drip, it is okay to close the valve.
- Move over to the driver side of the vehicle and begin removing the lower radiator hose clamps. (*Note: the upper clamp is difficult to access)
- Once both clamps are removed, place you coolant catcher below and remove the factory hose by twisting and pulling.
- Once the remainder of coolant has been expelled, replace the factory hose with the new Agency Power Silicone hose.
- Secure the new hose with the supplied clamps.
- At this time, check that bleeder valve is closed and you may begin to put the plastic splash guard back on.
- Lower the vehicle to a desired working position.
- Start removing the upper 2-piece radiator hose on the passenger side of the vehicle. (*Note: We found it easiest to remove the (2) 12mm bolts that secure the radiator fill neck)
- Secure the new hoses with the supplied clamps and recharge the cooling system with the Subaru Blue coolant.
- Burp the system if needed.
- Turn the vehicle on, let idle for 5-10 min and check for leaks.
